Ride, support and help ANZUP fight prostate, testicular, bladder, penile and kidney cancer.

Now in its 3rd year in Melbourne, the Below the Belt Pedalthon has been giving avid cyclists, cycling enthusiasts and pedal-mad families the opportunity to have fun and fundraise for cancer research since 2017.

Ride with us when we take over Sandown Racecourse in Springvale, Victoria, for the ultimate community team challenge.

The Below the Belt Pedalthon is a cycling event for riders of all ages and abilities, all united in the fight against below the belt cancer.

In teams of 4, you will ride as many laps as possible in either an Open Race (3 hours) or the Family Challenge (1 hour). Riders can be on the track for as many or as few laps as wanted – testing both teamwork and strategy. With track side entertainment and snacks flowing all day, it’s a fun day out for all.

Don’t have a team? We have individual registrations available too.

Can't ride? Why not fundraise for ANZUP as a Sideline Supporter?

ANZUP UPDATE 13/03/2020 - Melbourne Below the Belt Pedalthon postponed

Like everyone, we have been closely monitoring the corona virus amid the intensified global concerns around the pandemic potential of corona virus (COVID-19). We also note the cancellation of many large community and fundraising events around Australia and international. So with this in mind, ANZUP has made the tough decision to postpone our Melbourne Below the Belt Pedalthon event originally scheduled for 15 March 2020.

As a health organisation, we feel that we have a high level of responsibility to the community and, while we had strategies in place to mitigate against any potential infections, it was felt that in the interests of the safety of our community that it was the right decision to postpone this event.

Our Pedalthon venue has kindly agreed to reschedule our event to a future date once the risk of COVID-19 has been contained. We will let all riders know as soon as we have a new date secured.

All current registrations and any funds raised through your EverydayHero account for this event will be carried across to our new Pedalthon event (at a date yet to be determined).
We have closed our website to new registrations until the announcement of our next event date.

Thank you for your continued support.

Why We Ride

The Pedalthon was founded to promote awareness of these common but ‘less glamorous’ below the belt cancers and provide ANZUP Cancer Trials Group with the critical funds to improve the lives of more than 27,000 people diagnosed in Australia every year.

Every cent raised by the Pedalthon goes directly towards clinical trials research which translates into better diagnoses, treatments and outcomes for our community. This means that all funds raised go straight into the hands of experts committed to treating prostate, bladder, kidney, penile and testicular cancer better.

We need your help to fund more trials. We encourage our riders to set individual fundraising goals of $500 for adults and $100 for children.
